L.I.F.E. Seminar with Dr. Torrence Welch from Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc.

Wednesday, October 19, 2016 - 8:30am - 9:30am

Location: Suddath Seminar Room, IBB 1128

This year we are restarting the L.I.F.E. seminar series at IBB, which stands for "Learning about Industry From Experts." Each month we will invite a leader in the biotech industry to share how they chose their career path, what skill set they needed for the job, and what their typical work day looks like.

For September's seminar the speaker is Dr. Torrence Welch, a principal consultant at Rimkus Consulting Group, Inc. Dr. Welch received his Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Georgia Tech and Emory after working in Dr. Lena Ting's lab. His areas of expertise include the biomechanics of human injury, vehicle accident reconstruction, slip-and-fall events, occupational injury, reactive muscle activity and human balance control and stability. He performs biomechanical analyses for incidents leading to human injury, and vehicle accident reconstruction analyses.

Breakfast and coffee will be provided.

Hope to see you there! If you have any questions about the L.I.F.E. seminar series, or can suggest a good speaker, please email Alexandra Atalis at aatalis3@gatech.edu.
